The library’s activities are punctuated by a monthly book review, weekly story times for children, a tutoring service, and a special summertime children’s program.

Several statues, by Angus Kent LaMar, greet patrons to the library. On cold days a large, cozy fireplace encourages readers to sit and read a good book. The Mayan concrete blocks that adorn the outside of the library and inside the front walls intrigue scholars of all ages.

In keeping with the times, the library has Internet capabilities. In addition, a news bank terminal can be used to find information in current periodicals, two state newspapers, and telephone numbers across the nation.

The library is open Mondays: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more information, all the Library at (580) 772-3591.
